I have friends that don't exactly feed into the gender binary or the mold of society.  When you don't fit in the mold carved out by society sometimes you are excluded or don't feel welcome to certain organizations or establishments. This notion really hit close to home when one of my close friends, who identifies as transgender was not accepted to various summer camps. I am a camp counselor and have been going to camp since I was 8 years old. The fact that he and many others won't have the opportunity to experience a sense of belonging, leadership, being unjudged, bully free, and "had to be there" memories. I want to create a community where these things and much more are possible.
